WHY are you playing online? Stop It!

So posting a hand last time was a big mistake, apparently, considering mail I'm getting about how I should join this site or that.  Look people, unless the U.S. legalizes online poker and we get some decent sites and action, why would you put a penny online?

You think they can't snap-close Bodog and Merge?  

Let's say you only put a little on to play "recreationally" and run it up to some nice big numbers.  That's a lot of hard work and time put in.  That's what disappears, not some cash that you are telling yourself wasn't yours to begin with. 

I understand not everyone has a poker room nearby and I sympathize.  But I do believe there is live poker everywhere if you look for it. 

I'm beginning to have a shadow of hope that we might see legalized online poker relatively soon.  I was thinking of making it springtime on the blog.  Or at least not so bleak. I thought the House hearings went rather well.  I think Poker Stars has a shot at being able to operate onshore here. 

I tried to tell everyone FTP was crooked they didn't listen, I tried to tell a couple people to get their money off in the months before the seizure, they didn't believe me.  Maybe this will all be okay, but why are you risking your money and time and effort for a lot more bullshit?

Just wait.  Patience is a good thing for a poker player to have.
